Bay Area Place Plan: Shaping a Vision for Vibrant Communities

The Bay Area Place Plan for the Isle of Wight aimed to develop a strategic vision for the future of this dynamic coastal region.

The project focused on creating a place plan that balanced community needs, environmental stewardship, and sustainable economic growth.

A collaborative and community-focused approach was essential to ensure the plan reflected the voices of local stakeholders.

We delivered

  • A comprehensive place plan that provided a clear vision for the Bay Area’s future.

  • Fostered strong community engagement, with input from diverse local stakeholders.

  • Established a strategic framework that guides decision-making and promotes resilience in the region.

Narrative Framework: As part of a multi-disciplinary team, we shaped the overarching narrative structure for the place plan, ensuring clarity and cohesion in presenting the vision.

Co-Author: we contributed to the written content of the plan, weaving in insights from public engagement and stakeholder discussions.

Public Engagement Workshops: We designed and facilitated workshops to gather community input, ensuring a broad spectrum of voices shaped the plan.

“We are delighted with the way the team delivered the public consultation that had many challenges, and also in producing a coherent Bay Area Place Plan that can now be taken forward, with confidence in the evidence based data”
